Some achievements

• o Establishment and strengthening of multiplier groups dedicated to the cause of sustainable peace in Rwanda: Groups of Community Mental Health Assistants, Group for Rapprochement between Antagonistic Groups, Facilitators of Concerted Reimbursement in the framework of gacaca jurisdictions, Nuclei Generators of Unity and Reconciliation, Committees of Elders for the prevention and resolution of conflicts at the community level, IMBONERE Group for the Reduction of Domestic Violence;
• o Strengthening the analytical and intervention capacities of our target groups through training sessions in good power, conflict prevention, management, resolution and transformation, trauma healing and citizen participation;
• o Boosting the synergy of civil society organizations on the issue of conflict and reconciliation through workshops, round tables and consultations;
• o Strengthening the commitment of community leaders to initiatives to promote unity and reconciliation in their communities through awareness conferences, brainstorming workshops, campaigns and training sessions;
• o Initiating, monitoring and strengthening the process of community healing from the psychological wounds of war and genocide through the organization of Memory and Healing campaigns, the care of people with wounded hearts at the AMI offices and in the field, the awareness of the community to adopt therapeutic attitudes and behaviors, the advocacy in favor of the psychologically vulnerable; the creation of spaces for social therapy;
• o Regular mobilization of the Rwandan population in general and the population of the Huye district in particular in favor of reconciliation and peaceful coexistence and for the adoption of a peace-oriented mentality through radio broadcasts, thematic campaigns, the UBUNTU bulletin and other awareness-raising tools;
• o Improvement of the socio-economic situation of survivors and ex-prisoners by promoting community solidarity activities in favor of the needy;
• o Teaching the younger generations to live together and resolve their differences through active non-violence, particularly in secondary schools through the creation and supervision of Clubs SPEAK in the 15 secondary schools;
• o Contribution to the transformation of Rwandans into CRACS (Responsible, Active, Critical and Supportive Citizens) for sustainable development and peace in Rwanda through the creation and/or dynamization of spaces for the expression of the population; the organization of community dialogues between governments and governed at the level of sectors and cells; civic education and the multiplication and distribution of legal texts among the population;
• o Contribution to conflict resolution and prevention: domestic conflicts; post-gacaca conflicts; land conflicts, etc.
• o However, even if our input is considered relevant by various people, including local authorities and external evaluators, we recognize that there is still a long way to go and that we are called upon to multiply our efforts, as the problems are far from being definitively solved, as the following environmental analysis proves.
